For Paul, the biggest shift wasn’t about gaining knowledge. It was about changing how he approaches it.

From study to practice

After studying Computer Science at TU/e, Paul was ready to step into the industry. But like many graduates, he faced a familiar challenge: “how do you go from theory to actually doing the work?”
Harvest provided that bridge.

More than just skills

“I expected to learn technical things,” Paul says. “But the soft skills surprised me.” From communication to presentation, the program helped round out his abilities. But even more importantly, it gave him direction. “You’re introduced to topics, and then you learn how to explore them yourself.”

Taking ownership early

At Essent IT, Paul never felt like an outsider. Instead, he stepped in early by taking initiative, joining projects, and contributing to solutions.

Finding enjoyment in the work

What does he enjoy most? “Solving problems.”
Working toward deadlines, figuring things out, and delivering results...that’s where things click.

Growing through experience

Without prior work experience, getting a foot in the door can be difficult. “That’s what this program really helps with,” he says. “It gives you that first step.”

His advice?

“If you want to grow quickly and start your career strong, this is a great opportunity.”
